GETTING THERE:
TRAVELING TO THE EVENT
PICA is located approx 8.0km from Melbourne CBD, a 16 minute drive via Kings Way/Princes Hwy/A60. Large crowds & heavy traffic is expected in and around PICA.
A high number of patrons are expected to be attending the event so it’s essential to plan your trip in advance and work out how you are getting to and from the event.
Uber & Taxi drop off is 1 Thackray Road, Port Melbourne. Please follow the road VMS signs.
RIDESHARE / TAXI
Due to the anticipated high utilisation of the roads around the venue, the designated vehicle drop off zone is to be at 1 Thackray Road, Port Melbourne, to the entry of the event site at PICA. Correctly identified taxi and rideshare vehicles will be allowed access.
PUBLIC DROP OFF & PICK UP
The designated Drop Off and Pick Up zone will ONLY be allowed at 1 Thackray Road, Port Melbourne.
PUBLIC TRANSPORT
Public transport will be available to and from PICA.
🚃 TRAM: The closest Tram stop is Stop 128: 25 minute walk can catch TRAM 109 to the CBD.
🚂 TRAIN: From Southern Cross patrons can catch the 235 bus to PICA get off at Plummer & Salmon St, last buses depart Southern Cross by 9pm weeknights and 8pm on Saturdays (not available for post event return)
🚌 BUS: From PICA patrons can catch the 235 & 606 bus to the CBD from Woolboard & Salmon Street Stop, which is a 2 minute walk from PICA, buses are scheduled every 30 minutes with last buses at 12.06am weeknights and 11.46pm on Saturdays.

PARKING
No Parking is available on site.
Limited free street parking is available on Salmon Street, Rocklea Drive.
Strictly NO parking on Woolboard Road or Thackray Road, any cars that park here will be towed.
END OF NIGHT — FREE SHUTTLE
Complimentary one-way shuttles from PICA to Southern Cross station will commence from 10pm (for approx 2hrs)
CONDITIONS OF ENTRY:
By entering the event, you, the attendee, acknowledge that you have read the following rules governing conduct and consent to abide by such regulations and conditions.
- Entry is via a valid ticket only and subject to conditions of entry, including ID checks, bag searches and ticket scanning.
- Security checks apply. Security staff are entitled to search; pat down or metal detect any patron upon entry.
- There are strictly no pass-outs (no re-entry). Last entry is 9pm.
- Patrons will be refused entry or removed from the event if they are intoxicated, behave disruptively, threaten public safety, or attempt to conceal prohibited items.
- Only authorised, fully accredited media are permitted. Unauthorised media or anyone carrying media equipment will be removed and may be banned indefinitely.
- If you have tested positive for COVID 19 or are required to isolate please do not attend the event.
- Victoria Police may attend the event and question or remove patrons suspected of possessing illegal substances, weapons or contraband; patrons must comply with police requests.
- The event organiser reserves the right to refuse entry or remove patrons at their discretion; evicted patrons will not be readmitted and tickets will not be refunded.

VENUE FACILITIES:
FOOD & BEVERAGE
Food trucks will be available, including Palestinian options with vegan and vegetarian choices. Full-service bars offer both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, with card payments accepted at all bars and food trucks (no cash). Free water taps are available, feel free to bring a refillable water bottle (no glass).
SHADE & SHELTER
The main stage area is fully undercover, and the food court has shaded areas (remember your hat/jumper though).
EVENT SEATING
There is no reserved or dedicated seating. PICA offers limited seating in the food court, surrounding booths, and on the accessibility platform. Please note that seating is limited overall, and the accessibility platform is reserved for patrons with accessibility needs.
CLOAKING SERVICES
PICA provides cloaking services at $5 an Item. The Cloak Room will be open until 30 minutes after the event for all cloaking services. Ear Plugs are also available for purchase at the Cloak Room.
MERCHANDISE
Official Merchandise will be available for purchase on the day.
FIRST AID SERVICES
There will be a single first aid/medical post at the venue. By using the Venue and Event Medical Services medical facilities, a patron consents to providing access to their medical information. Sunscreen lotion is available at all medical and merchandise outlets.
EVENT CARE
A Gathering for Gaza recognises that this can be an emotionally heavy event. Event Care will be onsite throughout the day, offering free emotional support to all patrons. Their counsellors will be located next to First Aid.
ACCESSIBILITY
PICA is a fully accessible venue, featuring hard-stand areas, ramps, an accessibility platform, and accessible toilets. The event grounds are wheelchair accessible, however please be aware that this is a large and partially outdoor event that may require traveling on varied terrain, of concrete. For assistance, please visit First Aid or speak with our friendly staff.

- Liquids other than lotions (empty water bottles that are not glass/ Aluminium or metal are permitted)
- Food
- Professional Audio /Visual Recording Devices (excluding mobile phones and go pros)
- Weapons or dangerous items including Laser pointers or selfie sticks
- Flares & Fireworks
- Bicycles, skateboards, surfboards, hoverboards, scooters or personalised motor vehicles.
- Animals (excluding authorised guide companion dogs)
- No flammable items or liquids including aerosols and fireworks
- Markers, pens, spray paints
- No backpacks, or large bags.
- No poles, selfie sticks or totems
- Drones, or unmanned aerial vehicles
- No umbrellas, chairs, blankets, sleeping bags, or tents
- No Balloons, Balls, Inflatable balls, frisbees, or flying disks
- No lasers, laser pens, laser pointers, or similar focused light devices
- No bicycles, skateboards, hover-boards, scooters, or personal motorized vehicles
- No water guns, squirt guns, spray bottles, misters
- No music instruments, noisemakers or airhorns
Additional items may be found prohibited at the discretion of event security guards. All items deemed prohibited excluding illegal substances must be either disposed of, or removed from site.
ACCESSIBILITY:

Upon presentation of a Companion Card, ticket purchasers are entitled to an additional ticket for their respective carer.

The Companion Card must be presented alongside the issued ticket to gain entry to the event. Dedicated entry lanes will be available to those in possession of a Disability Card or Companion Card. Guide Dogs are permitted on festival grounds to valid Disability Card or Companion Card holders.
